XAF was a free proof-of-concept library for Architectural Forms in XML, published in 1998. The library was presented as part of the public debate prior to the creation of the XML Namespaces specification, demonstrating an alternative, simple approach based on part of the SGML HyTime standard.
The original documentation is still available from the Internet Archive entry.
